Effective immediately, Angola has introduced new import procedures for vehicle components, as enforced by ARCCLA under Presidential Decree No. 155/20, dated June 1st.

Please be aware that the prior authorization requirement from the National Land Transport Agency, which previously applied only to vehicle imports, is now extended to cover the specific harmonized tariff codes listed below. This update is intended to enhance the accuracy of component classification during import into Angola.

8408.20Engines of the type used for vehicle propulsion.
8708.40Gearboxes – including gears and their parts.
8706.00Chassis – with engines for motor vehicles classified under positions 87.01 to 87.05.
8707Bodies – for motor vehicles classified under positions 87.01 to 87.05, including cabins.
8708.94Steering Systems – including steering wheels, columns, and cables, along with their parts.
8708.80Suspension Systems – and their parts (including suspension shock absorbers).
8708.50Transmission Systems.

Therefore, anyone planning to ship the listed components must provide the final invoice, Bill of Lading (B/L), Single Document (D.U.), and secure the required prior authorization from ANTT, as outlined in paragraphs 2 to 5 of Article 17 of the referenced decree.
