As of November 16th, the CMC has issued an official communication that defines the BESC as a compulsory certificate for all shipments to MALI, and the grace period has ended.
In addition, for not regularized shipments discharged in all African ports, especially Dakar (Senegal), Abidjan (Ivory Coast), San Pedro (Ivory Coast), Cotonou (Benin), and Lome (Togo), importers will have to contact the local agents in the ports to regularize the certificate.
To avoid extra port storage charges and container demurrages, we kindly suggest you apply for BESC certificates to us before the arrival of your shipments to Africa.
